Time to Pack Up

I talked with my mentor, Evelyn. She went to Guatemala during her spring break so she told me to call her once she got back. And if all works out then i'll be headed over to her place for a couple of days so I can do my mentorship with her and get my hours done. So looks like it's time to pack up my bags and see where this all goes

Blog 18: Third Answer

Content:

Just like you did for answer 1 and 2 post your:

  • EQ: How best can an academic counselor help university students obtain a positive college experience?
  • Answer #3: An academic counselor can help university students obtain a positive college experience by helping the transition from high school to college easier.
    • By setting up frequent meetings, the college counselor can talk with the student one on one and he/she can answer answer any questions that the student has
    • Most new, incoming students find the transition hard to adapt to and having a counselor to go to will be helpful.
    • Finding the necessary classes as an incoming student is typically harder compared to a student that has already taken classes at the college or university before.
  • My second mentor, Elmer Rodriguez helped me figure out my second answer, along with my interview three and four.
  • An academic counselor can help university students obtain a positive college experience by making the transition from high school to college easier.
